Cheap and Easy Spellbinders Nestabilities Storage

Hi everyone. If your like me, your scrappin space is well less than organized. Actually mine is starting to look like a Michael's store blew up! So I have as part of my word for 2012 (Consistancy) So I have been consistently working to create a better space for my crafting.  I love love love my Spellbinder Nestabilities and have found with the "storage" solution I thought I had for them they were in danger of getting bent out of shape or lost.

Look at this lovely mess!

I have dies, ink pads, punches and embellishments all over the room! My goal is do do one major organizing project a week!

Problem solved with some tins that I had from Stampin' Up. You can also find tins like this at any dollar store. Any small tin that your dies will fit into will work. After all we would all rather spend our money on more tools than storage, right?

I printed out "Nestabilities" on white card stock and then cut the shapes out with the actual Nestabilities! After cutting out the label shapes I then cut out patterned paper two shape sizes up to make a matte for the labels.  I also used the tan embossing pad on my Cuttlebug to emboss the shapes. So that they would be cut and embossed. Check out the pic to see what they look like!
Once all your mattes and labels are cut out and embossed your ready to start putting things together.  I chose to ink the edges of my labels.  Since the card stock I used was double sided.

I chose to ink the labels that were going to be on the striped mattes in green and the ones on the floral side in pink.  I used Stampin' Up ink for the green and Momento ink for the pink.

Once the ink dried I went ahead and glued the labels onto the mattes. I cut the outside of the Spellbinders packages and put them into each of the tins. This will remind me of how many dies are in each set and also which set number and shape name they are.

I used my Helmar 450 Quick Dry to adhere the labels to the outside of the tins and the packaging labels to the inside of the tin.  See how perfectly the dies fit into the tins.

See how simple it was? Not only are my dies protected, the storage labeled and pretty, but they will stack up easily and keep them neat and tidy.

Ok so this picture is really terrible but you can see how neatly these stack up!

Thanks for visiting and if you would like to see a tutorial on anything specific please let me know.
